News Menu Button Myleene hits right classic note in her new career

MYLEENE Klass looks every inch the classical diva as she poses with glamorous violinist Vanessa Mae.

The former Hear'Say singer positively glowed in a plunge-neck satin gown at last night's Classical Brit Awards nomination ceremony in London.

Myleene's album of classical piano music, Moving On, has been nominated for album of the year.
Teenage soprano Hayley Westenra and opera star Bryn Terfel lead the way with two nominations each.

Westenra, aged just 17, is nominated for female artist of the year.

She is up against Italian opera singer Cecilia Bartoli, 37, and Marin Alsop, the 46-year-old American conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

Westenra's multi-million selling album Pure is nominated for album of the year.

Bryn Terfel's album, Bryn, is nominated in the same category.

The Welsh baritone is pitted against violinist Nigel Kennedy and conductor Sir Colin Davis for male artist of the year.

The final awards ceremony will be held in the Royal Albert Hall on May 26.
